Fire doors are legally required in various domestic and commercial properties; for example, there must be a fire door separating every habitable room from the stairwell in homes more than 2 storeys in height. Plus, they must be used for loft conversions and also to separate a house from an integral garage. Available in FD30 and FD60 varieties, they offer 30 and 60 minutes of protection against the spread of fire respectively. They will also include smoke seals and a self-closing device.
